In 2001, author and theatre maker Wim Geysen, received a request to create a provocational theatre piece aimed at young people.
This project was commissioned by the OVK, (Parents of Fatal Traffic victims)
They wanted to show, in a confrontational way, what the consequences are of drinking and driving.
The result was “Flits!”(Flash!) which has now been performed over 500 times in front of an audience of over 100.000. It has been translated in several languages (English, French, Serbian,Czech) is often booked by police and traffic safety organisations.
After seven seasons, it’s remains one of Flanders most booked school theatrepieces and unfortunately, the message is still currently relevant.
